The Responsible Gold Supply Chain Company governance structure includes a Board of Directors and an Advisory Committee.
The Advisory Committee, comprising supply chain partners and users of Responsible Gold, makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on matters such as: AML/KYB policy; new application features; operating protocols and procedures; and standards for the branding and marketing of Responsible Gold.

The Responsible Gold Standards have been developed to document best practices in responsible production and sourcing. They serve as a tool to support participants in enhancing their ESG practices and contribute to the SGDs. The Standards incorporate the following SGDs:
The Responsible Gold Ecosystem, including the KYC checks, the RG SCA and GoldID, defends against illicit gold entering the ecosystem, thereby reducing the sources of funds for money laundering, conflict financing and human rights violations.
